The design refresh continues. Messages, Attachments and Advanced Search now share the refreshed layout you've seen across the earlier modules, so moving between them feels consistent with the rest of Access Legal Compliance.
What's New
Messages
The Messages page has now been updated with the refreshed design. We've also added your latest messages to the Information Hub, so you can stay up to date without leaving the page you're on.
The full Messages page has been rebuilt in the refreshed design, with a clear card-based notifications design.
A new Messages panel in the Information Hub replaces the old redirect. It shows your five most recent notifications, with a View All link to the full page.
The unread count stays in step across the panel, the full page and the Information Hub badge. The badge is hidden when you have nothing unread.
You only see your own notifications.
Three new filters sit beneath the bulk actions: message type, task status and module, so you can narrow your messages to the ones that need attention.
Attachments
The attachments list is easier to scan and work through, with clearer file sizes and a storage indicator you can read at a glance.
Module Attachments has moved to the refreshed design.
File sizes are shown in KB, MB or GB rather than raw bytes.
A new page-size selector lets you show 10, 25, 50 or 100 attachments per page.
The Space Used indicator now uses a progress bar, with the same calculation as before.
View Record, Download, Delete, Download page files and Download all attachments all work as they did before.
Advanced Search
Advanced Search has a cleaner layout and sharper filters, and a quick preview lets you check a result before opening the full record.
Advanced Search is rebuilt in the refreshed design, with a multi-select module filter, status badges and shared pagination.
Select a result to open a slide-out preview showing its summary, workflow tasks and custom tasks or go straight to the record.
Next Due Date and Next Due Assignee now reflect whichever task on a record is due next, whether it is a workflow task or a custom task.
Results and available modules still respect your existing permissions.
Quality-of-life updates
Four smaller improvements within the updated Homepage, Complaints, Audits and Case Management designs reduce unnecessary clicks, making it quicker to find what you need and view key details without leaving the screen you're on.
Homepage task list: Click a column header to sort the list, and click it again to reverse the order. Module, Test type, Reference and Assignee sort alphabetically, Due date sorts by date, and Status cycles through Overdue, Due and In date. Sorting by due date puts the work that needs attention first, and sorting by assignee or module helps you find the tasks that belong to you or to a particular area.
Complaints: Completed task information is now displayed at the foot of the Complaint record. It shows Acknowledgement Letter Sent Date, Complaint was valid, Investigation Outcome, Investigation Letter Sent Date, Complaint Outcome and Closed Date. The key dates and outcomes are visible as soon as the record opens, so you can check where a complaint stands without switching tabs.
Audits: The Records table has a new Audit Date column, placed after Name, allowing you to review records by date without opening each one.
Access Legal Case Management Integration (ALCM): The existing integration is now part of the refreshed design. Matter search now opens in a side panel rather than a centred pop-up. Search by case reference, client name or fee earner, then select a matter to fill in Reference, Name, Department, Office and Practice Area as read-only fields. A Clear button lets you change the linked matter. This applies where the integration is enabled for your firm.
How to access this update
The refreshed design is opt-in. You will see a banner on the homepage and a "Try the New Look" option in the side navigation, so you can switch over at your own pace and return to the classic interface at any time. No action is needed from firm administrators. Firm configuration, permissions, user groups and workflow setup all carry over.
What stays the same
Every record, task, attachment and historical entry is preserved exactly as it was. Permissions, module access and firm configuration carry over unchanged. Supervisors continue to see everything they could see before, and standard users see only their own records and tasks.
What's next
The refresh moves on to Account Settings, the area where administrators set up the firm-level information the compliance modules rely on. That covers offices, departments, practice areas and categories, as well as users and their module roles and permissions. It also includes task setup for each module, so you can choose who handles tasks and who is notified by default, and firm-wide notification preferences.
This will be a like-for-like move into the refreshed design. Your existing configuration, data and behaviour carry over unchanged, so nothing you have already set up needs reconfiguring. The screens will follow the same accessibility standard as the rest of the refreshed product.
